On Sunday October 4th we will have our celebration of all the riches of creation which God has given us, when Bruce Clark will be our preacher.
As usual there will be an opportunity to share God’s generosity by giving gifts of nonperishable food and provisions to the Rainbow Centre. When Trish Kinsella from the Rainbow centre came to talk to us in worship recently, she was able to tell us how much these gifts are needed and appreciated and how they are used so please support this initiative if you can. Food Gifts may be brought to either of the services for donation to the work of the centre.
As Burniston is part of a farming and gardening community, we would also like to have a small traditional display of local Harvest produce in church on Sunday 4th. If you have any artefacts, fresh fruit, vegetables or flowers that you have grown that you wish to contribute to the display please bring them to church on Saturday 3rd October between 10am and midday. You can always take them home again after the services if you want to or we will find good use for them if not.
Everyone is welcome at the CHURCH FAMILY HARVEST MEAL following the 11.00am service (details to follow from Mary M).
