Please pick up an information and activity sheet and work your way through the days of Lent. All the ideas given highlight how much we all take for granted, where for thousands of children, one or more of these daily comforts could be missing from their lives. A fun and thought-provoking way for families and individuals to travel through Lent, whilst raising funds for the charity. Mission Group

ACTION FOR CHILDREN
has issued a study on child neglect today which finds that 51% of our social workers and 36% of our police feel “powerless” to intervene in suspected cases of child neglect. The study is based on evidence from over 4000 people, including professionals, 47 local authorities, school teachers and the general public.
We can add our voice by contacting our MP, Robert Goodwill, through the petition to the MP responsible for education, Michael Gove and to the Government issued by AFC. http://www.actionforchildren.org.uk
